Marion Polka's Arrowheads
Uncle Marion started collecting Indian arrowheads in the cotton fields behind the Polka home in New Waverly when he was a young man. He continued collecting from various areas in Texas. This collection contains 342 arrowheads, mostly bird points. They range in size from 1/2" to 4" long. Marion built the wooden frame in the 1950's using leather to hold the corners together. He wrote the names of 17 different Indian tribes along the top of the frame.
